He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Chatfield; his children, Mary Margaret Lewis and Robert Emmett Chatfield, IV; his sister Myrta C. "Kissy" Tuten; and his grandchildren, Mary Kathrine Lewis, Dryden Lewis, Caroline Lewis, Lilly Chatfield and Lucy Chatfield.
