He was predeceased by: his son James "Eddie" Roper; and his daughter-in-law May Langham Roper. He is survived by: his wife Judy Payne Andrews; his children, Runan Andrews Belcher (Rocky), Reginald Kenneth Andrews (Vickie), Audrey Andrews Scott (Mark) and Kay Roper Mathis (Dan); and his grandchildren, Jeff Gurley, Jennifer Gurley, Robert Andrews (Kristen), Conner Andrews (Alissa), Nicole Shead (John), Tyler Scott, Lance Helton (Jaime), Jessica Davis (Paul), Katie Kimmel (Ben), Elizabeth Bruno (Lewis), Wake (Jessie Kimmel) and Marshall Kimmel (Karla). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
