He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann Johnson (Spencer); and his siblings, Catherine Sample, Sandra Taylor and Ray. He is survived by: his sister Mildred Ruth Dees (Reg) of Port Wentworth, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Harriet Johnson (Minus) of Savannah, Georgia and Mary Jane Spencer-Hulme (Crothers) of Toledo, Ohio; his children, Richard Johnson (Donna) of Beavercreek, Ohio, David Johnson (Valerie) of Falls Church, Virginia and Linda Peterson (David) of Acworth, Georgia; his granddaughter Kaitlin Randolph (Zac) of Smyrna, Georgia; and his sons, Alexander Johnson of Washington, D. C., Vance Peterson of Marietta, Georgia and Evan Peterson of Marietta, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
