She was predeceased by: her father John Marler Lyle. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Sarris of Kennesaw, GA; her son Nicholas Sarris (Lauren); her grandson Andrew Sarris of Marietta, GA; her son Daniel Sarris of Kennesaw, GA; her mother Barbara Sudduth Lyle of Lena, MS; and her siblings, Lisa Evers (William) of Ringgold, GA, Toni Bond (David) of Lena, MS and Joe Lyle of Benbrook, TX.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home (180 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Green Lawn Cemetery (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076).

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to a charity of your choice as this is what they feel Melanie would have wanted done in her memory.
