It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Joann Childress of Kennesaw, Georgia, born in Bushnell, Florida, who passed away on July 22, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil L. Rhoden and Ollie V. McDougle Rhoden; and her husband Charles Childress, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Charles W. 'Chuck Childress III of Marietta, GA, David Childress (Michele) of Kennesaw, GA and Cheryl Smith (Stephen) of Cedartown, GA.; and her sister Joyce Shrader (Bill Ratlieff) of Pembroke Pines, FL. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to GracePointe Marietta Baptist Church Youth/Children's fund in loving memory of Ms. Childress.
