It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Merrill Cole Jr. of Kennesaw, Georgia, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Mae Cole (Rodgers); and his sons-in-law, Mickey, Bruce, Randy, Gary and Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa, Diantha, Michele (Greg), Wendi and Joe (Deana); and his grandchildren, Destiny (Wendy), Christopher (Brandon), Ryan (Megan), Parker (Jay) and Robynn (Will). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and their spouses and 18 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Kennesaw First Baptist Church (2958 N Main St, Kennesaw, GA 30144). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (2025 Mt Carmel Church Ln, Canton, GA 30114).
