He was predeceased by: his wife Lola "Janice" McDonald; his children, Jana McDonald Fleming, Tammy McDonald Davis and David McDonald; his brothers, Jimmy McDonald and Dennis McDonald; and his parents, Horace McDonald and Clara McDonald.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Matt Fleming (Michele) of Marietta, GA, Brad Fleming (April) of Woodstock, GA, Jason McDonald (Jessica) of Chesterfield, VA and Shannon Bush (Larry) of Chesterfield, VA. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Wayne's name to Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org .
