Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Floyd Davis Hasting of Kennesaw, Georgia, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 83, on December 12, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Lee and Mable Priest Hasting; and his siblings, Carl Hasting and Opal Burnett. He is survived by: his wife Addie Marie Purdy Hasting of Kennesaw, GA; his children, Karen (Ken Buchanan) of Powder Springs, GA and Tim (Kimi Hasting) of Dallas, GA; his grandchildren, Markus Shirley (Lacey), Erin Kotowski (Stephan), Haley Weldon (Methus), Elizabeth Moore (Dillian) and Emily Richardson (Stone); his great grandchildren, Lila Rose Shirley, Emmaline Kotowski, Ben Kotowski, Caroline Moore and Ivy Moore; and his sisters, Nellie Crowley of Fort Payne, AL, Betty Cantrell (Earl) of Powder Springs, GA and Judy Smith of Mentone, AL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Winkenhofer Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Hasting safe.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Karen Buchanan for the future care of Mrs. Hasting.
