It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dawn Alice Benton of Kennesaw, Georgia, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Joseph Patrick Murray and Jane Cummings Murray; her sister Dale Agnes Murray; her husband LJ Herman Benton Jr.; her son Derek Murray Benton; and her daughter-in-law Dawn. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and dear friends.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers donations to the following charities are also acceptable. American Heart Association American Kidney Fund Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Club.

“I was very saddened to hear of Dawn’s passing. She was a great lady and a great dog lady, having successfully led the Atlanta Doberman Pinscher club through some tumultuous times. She was a woman dedicated to her causes and stood as an example to all of us involved in the sport of purebred dogs. Her presence, knowledge and serenity will be greatly missed.”
