It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daphne McDuffie Friedman Bethencourt of Kennesaw, Georgia, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rubinelle McDuffie Friedman and Robert Seymour Friedman; and her brother Robert S. "Bobby" Friedman. She is survived by: her daughter Rachel Willis; her sons-in-law, Jason Willis (Amanda "Mimi" Hines) of Acworth, GA. and Reagan Hines of Kennesaw, GA.; her grandchildren, Cole Willis, Asher Hines and Emerson "Emmie" Hines; her sister Belinda F. Gergel; her brother-in-law Richard Mark Gergel of Charleston; and her nephews, Robert "Richie" Gergel, Joseph Gergel, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Sugar.
During the Pandemic, she became an ardent bird watcher.
