With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Virginia Hughey McDaniel of Kennesaw, Georgia, born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Watson "Bill" McDaniel; her parents, James Preston Sr. and Priscilla "Pricey" Hughey; her great-uncle William H Hughey (Bill); and her aunt June Hughey Campbell of Gaffney.
She is survived by: her child Col. Terry Lee Hughey (Alice Gaines Hughey); her granddaughter Dr. Christine "Chrisi" A Hughey (Bruce Wilcox); her great grandchild Zachary Wilcox; her brother James Preston Hughey, Jr. (J. P.) of Gaffney; and her nephews, Russell Hughey and Thomas "Tommy" Hughey.
