It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertie L. Bethune of Kennesaw, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cribbs and Katie Lou Cribbs Counts; her sisters, Jane "Snookie" Skinner, Wilhelmina "Willie" Reed and Mary Lou Cribbs; her son William "Gene" Bethune, Jr.; and her son-in-law David McDaniel.
She is survived by: her husband William "Billy" Bethune, Sr.; her children, Brad Quackenbush (Tammy), Gail McDaniel, Margerite Prevatte (Joe), John Bethune (Tammy) and Shelby Cadwallader (Tom); and her nieces, Crystal Thornton (Bo) and Donna Miller (Kevin). She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bible Baptist Church Building Fund.
