She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Elizabeth Dempsey and Joseph Burnette "Jack" Dempsey. She is survived by: her husband J. M. McCollum; her children, Jimmy McCollum (Scott McDaniel) and Jennifer McCollum; her brothers, Jackie Dempsey and Donald Dempsey; and her sister-in-law Remell Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces & grandnephews.
