He was predeceased by: his wife Imogene Hart Green; his siblings, Winiford Newton Green, Buddy Green, Yunell Smith and Mary Ann Holton; and his parents, Jack Green and Modena Green.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie, Vicki Green of Kathleen, Gina, Wayne Barton of South Chesterfield, VA, Tamatha and David of Hazlehurst; his grandchildren, Adam Green, Jessie Atkinson, Jacob Green, Amanda Barton, Meredith Overcash, Jarred Barton, Mary Abrams and Michelle Pappas; and his sisters, Ann Aldridge of Baxley, Lynn (Randy Crummey) of Baxley and Debbie (Richard Varnadore) of Byron. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Friendship Congregational Christian Church Cemetery (900 Friendship Church Rd, Baxley, GA 31513).
