She was predeceased by: her sisters, Anita Allen and Freda Jones; and her parents, Benjamin Vester Shelnutt and Daphene Dathulia Swaney Shelnutt. She is survived by: her husband Chester Davis of Juliette; and her children, William Richard "Billy" Carroll of Forsyth, Deirdre DeFore (Lucas) of Macon, Marty Davis of Juliette, Ruby Young (Chuck) of Jackson, Georgia and Patty Bowen of Juliette. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
