He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Colvin and Mattie Colvin; and his siblings, Elmer Colvin Jr., W. C. Colvin, Benita Sterne, Maudine Bremer, Mary Colvin, Raymond Colvin and Johnny Colvin.
He is survived by: his daughter Saylm Colvin Middleton (Chad) of Forsyth; his grandchildren, Tyler Middleton and MacKenzie Middleton; and his siblings, Linda Colvin of Juliette, Jerry Colvin of Juliette, Molie Trambly of Jacksonville, Kathryn Picard (Rene) of Amelia Island and Mable Voegeli of Commerce, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
