We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2021, at the age of 83, Rose Maurie Brown in Jonesboro, Georgia, born in Miami, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arch Drake and Grace Drake (Jackson); her husband Walter Brown; and her brother Robert of Ooltewah, TN.. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I loved Mrs. Brown. She was my Sunday School Teacher at Sylvan Hills Baptist Church. I knew her before she married Mr. Brown, but she glowed once they started dating and married. I was only 13 at the time. Life moves on and time passes before we know it. She was a remarkable influence on my childhood. I lived with my Grandmother and we did not have money, but Mrs. Brown took me to Calligraphy classes. She will forever be loved in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss.”
