She was predeceased by: her father Austin Chevis; her son Kenny; her mother Merla Mae Chevis-Simon; and her stepfather Joseph Simon. She is survived by: her daughter Adrienne; her granddaughter Taylor Noel; her siblings, Delores Chevis-Christopher and Charles Anthony Chevis (Delores); her niece Joy Williams (Kevin); her nephew Charles Austin Chevis (Rhonda); and her great-nephews, Kevin "KJ", Justice, Aiden, Chase and Cruz. She is also survived by cousins, extended family and friends.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in her memory.
