He is survived by: his children, Charles D. Avery (Crystal) and April Sherrer; his grandchildren, Temesha Gamble and Demesha Gamble; his great grandchildren, Aviah Gray and A'lohn Gray; and his sisters, Mary Jane Carter and Ruth Avery. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, friends.
