He is survived by: his wife Mari Sweat; his children, Leslie Karla Smith (Patrick) of Moreland Ga, Elizabeth Boyd (Mark Smith) of Atlanta, Sarah Ledford of Cumming, Taylor Boyd of Jonesboro, David "Bubba" Boyd (Sarah) of Covington and Shelby Bentley of Griffin; his sister Kelly Lane (Mike) of Madison; his grandchildren, Monika Fletcher (Austin), Eli Huff, Connor Huff, Charlotte Smith, Ella Boyd, Micah Darden, Adeline Ledford, Evan Smith, Boyd of Arizona and James Bentley; his great grandchildren, Greysen Fletcher, Evie Fletcher and Oaklynn Huff; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ford Stewart Funeral Home Inc. (2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (5755 Mallory Rd, College Park, GA 30349).
