She was predeceased by: her daughter Rebecca Rose Rogers; and her brother Thomas Hewitt. She is survived by: her husband Joseph A. Rogers, Jr; her son Joseph A. Rogers, III (Jennifer) of Hampton, GA; her grandchildren, Lauren Rogers, Joseph A. Rogers, IV and Ashleigh Rogers; and her siblings, Charles Hewitt (Kate), Lorraine Carol Ann Dooley, Michael Hewitt (Elaine), Alan Hewitt (Yamile), Adelle Pierce (Michael) and Dot Hewitt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
