He was predeceased by: his father William Bruce; his son Richard Adam Bruce; and his siblings, Billy, Calvin, Daniel, James, Margaret, Melton and Verlon.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bruce; his daughters, Bonnie Williamson (Mark) and Marsha Farmer; his grandchildren, Russell, Matthew, Kayla, Emily, Amanda, Kristin and Richard; and his stepgrandchildren, Emily, Robbie, Olivia and Jayden. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gerald's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
