Franklin Ray Tipton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2021, at the age of 79, Franklin Ray Tipton (Jonesboro, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Tipton and Rachel Tipton; his wife Carolyn Paulette Tipton; and his son Timothy Ray Tipton. He is survived by: his daughter Rachelle Cowart of Jonesboro, GA; his close friend Teresa Jones of Ellenwood, GA; his siblings, Len Tipton (Brenda), Edie Brown (Dick), Lori Crook (Richard) and Brenda Horton; and his grandchildren, Tabatha Denson, Ashley Bell (David), Kenny Cowart, Amanda Crawley (James), Andrew Tipton and Amber Wright (Robert). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, many cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
