He was predeceased by: his wife Arie Swartz; and his son-in-law Bill Phillips. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Phillips of Jonesboro and Cindy Swatrz (Paul Kumpitsch, III) of Vero Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Rachael Cowart, Sami Daugherty (J. D.) and Ricky Phillips (Neally); and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cowart, Nate Cowart, Carson Daugherty and Summer Daugherty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
