He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Lynn Nelson; and his mother Ida Lee Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Nelson; his daughter Debbie Nelson of Augusta; and his nephew Melvin "Bobby" Starnes (Karen Ellis) of Texas. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Jonesboro First United Methodist Church (142 S Main St, Jonesboro, GA 30236). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
