He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrell Surrency and Bessie Surrency; and his siblings, Carobeth Surrency Highsmith, Nanelle Surrency Bacon, Frank and Griffin Surrency.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Stewart Surrency of Jesup; his daughters, Terri Lynn Surrency of Jesup, Lisa Surrency of Jesup and Ty Anne Surrency Drury (Dwight) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Brian Surrency (Lindsey), Jeremy Metts (Kate), Adam Thornton (Mary Nelle), Ethan Stanfield (Mary Grace), Claire Reddish (Avery), Holly Humprey and Lauren Amis (Pete); his great grandchildren, Sidney, Carobeth, Annie, Griffin, Henley, Sullivan, Knox, Jon Crew, Jane, Ash, Hudson, Morgan, Riley, Walker and Wyatt; and his sister Lauree Hires. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
