He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lester and Delorie Jane Carter Welch; and his siblings, Larry and Carolyn Welch Tucker. He is survived by: his wife Diane Driskell Welch of Jesup; his children, Gerri Rozar of Douglas, Dana Wade (Tol) of Medina, Jimmy Welch (Lynnah) of Jesup and Kay Surrency (Carey) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Justin Wade (Jen), Erin Wade, Parker Welch, Glenn Welch (Savannah), Sam Surrency and Griffin Surrency (Ellie Townsend); his great grandchildren, Kyle, Emma, Nathan Wade and William Welch; and his brother Harry Welch (Betty Ruth) of Valdosta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
