She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Leady and Mary Elizabeth Leady; her husband Kent Carter; her sister Janice Doak; and her grandson Andy Folden.
She is survived by: her daughters, Renee Gilbert of Jesup and Mary Elizabeth Alvarez Dela; her grandsons, Bradley Gilbert (Sharee) of Jesup, Steven Gilbert of Jesup and George Folden of Orlando, Florida; and her great grandchildren, Madison Flowers and Baleigh Gilbert.
