She was predeceased by: her parents, David Floyd Mercer, Sr. and Veatrice Fales Mercer; her husband Donnie H. Mathis; and her brother David Floyd Mercer, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Dana Mathis of Jesup; her grandson Brant Mathis Anderson of Jesup; her great grandchildren, Axl Mathis Anderson and Ace Lee Anderson; her siblings, Gloria "Ruth" Rollins of Waycross, Wayne Mercer (Laura) of Waycross and Larry Mercer of Waycross; and her adoptive daughter Amy Smith of Jesup. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
