He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Coleman and Ruth Harris Coleman; his siblings, Jerry Henry Coleman and Janice Meaders; and his stepdaughter Joyce Ennis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coleman of Jesup; his daughters, Christy Johnson (Harper) of Jesup and Shelli Carter (Russ) of Baxley; his stepchildren, James Stewart (Raeleen) of Pigeon Forge, Darryl Stewart (Jeanine) of Pembroke and Jody Stewart (Melissa) of Guyton; his grandchildren, Kayla Overstreet, Sydney Herrin and Nicolas Carter; his great grandchildren, Bryce and Wyatt Phillips; his nieces, Carrie Howard of McDonough and Dawn Meaders of McDonough; and his nephew Kevin Meaders of Atlanta. He is also survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and extended family.
