He is survived by: his son Cody Thornton of Jesup; his siblings, Melissa Pye (Tim) of Odum, Lori Byrd (Tony) of Odum and Mitchell Thornton of St. Augustine, Fla.; his granddaughter Cali Jade Thornton; his stepbrother Jimmy Byrd of Nahunta; and also Alicia McGauley.
