He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Lane McKenzie Teston; and his parents, Kermit Teston and Mary Ellen Teston. He is survived by: his daughters, Frances Harrison (Donavon) of Jesup and Tina Crosby of Jesup; his stepchildren, Nikki McKinzie (Bret Maynard) of Kentucky, David McKinzie of Cal, Chuck McKinzie of Screven and Chris McKinzie (Dawn) of Screven; his grandchildren, Tara, Nicholas, Mathew, Alexandria, Nathan, Angel, Jay, Austin, Haley, Jeremy, Codie, Micah, Clayton, Brooke, Caleb, Sophia and Sawyer; and his siblings, Faye Thornton (Roger) of Jesup, Louise Teston of Jesup, Jimmy Teston (Barbara) and Dewitt Teston (Una) of Jesup. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
