He was predeceased by: his father Bill Thurmon. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Bennett Thurmon of Jesup; his children, Hunter Thurmon (Sarah) of Jesup, Laynee Thurmon of Jesup and McKenzie Miller (Brice) of Screven; his grandsons, Noah Thurmon and Ben Miller; his mother Sandra Thurmon of Bristol; and his brother Billy Thurmon (Tara) of Savannah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
