It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Bennett Surrency of Jesup, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewice L Bennett and Pearl Vandiver; her husband William Griffin Surrency; and her sister Wanda C. Collins. She is survived by: her children, Ben Surrency (Marti), Lori Kessler (Barry) and Carey Surrency (Kay); her grandchildren, Jessie Barber (Sam), Hannah Trautwein (Jason), Sarah Jo Higgingbotham (Josh), Kadie Brown (Dylan), Sam Surrency and Griffin Surrency (Ellie Townsend); and her great grandchildren, Silas, Theo, Griffin, Hunter, Ellie and Lainey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
