He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn Ogden; his uncle T. J.; and his aunt Esther Gordon. He is survived by: his sons, Ross Highsmith (Donna) of Jesup, Russell Highsmith (Tonda) of Jesup, Richard Highsmith (Sonya) of Blackshear and Ryan Highsmith (Jenny) of Statesboro; his siblings, Marlene Aspinwall of Jesup, John Highsmith (Angie) of Waynesville and Mike Highsmith (Nancy) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Kali, Remley, Klint, Heath, Krista and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Ryder and Kambri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gardi Cemetery Fund, 137 Charlton Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545.
