He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Griffis and Miriam Herrin Griffis; his siblings, Jeanette Jones, Cecil Griffis, Albert Griffis and JoAnne Smith; and his daughter-in-law Becky Griffis.
He is survived by: his wife Draudy Griffis; his children, Herbie Griffis and Ginger; his son-in-law Jeff Hall; his grandsons, Justin, Josh Hall, Kirby and Cody Griffis; his great grandchildren, Landi Griffis of Jesup, Jaelyn "Boo" Hall of Jesup, Easton Hall of Jesup and Jedd Hall of Jesup; and his sisters, Imogene Teston of Augusta, Kathleen Purcell of Jesup and Noodie Bennett of Jesup. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
