He is survived by: his children, Donna Dyer (Ricky Brant) of Bloomingdale, Sherry Rowe (Willie) of Hagerstown, Maryland, Joey Thornton (Tammy) of Jesup, Tony Thornton of Jesup and Chris Thornton of Jesup; his brother Carroll Thornton of Jesup; and his close friend David Conner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
