It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Bacon of Jesup, Georgia, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Geneva Bacon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Bacon, Jr.; and her daughter Theresa Kirkland McArthur. She is survived by: her son Tim Kirkland (Jerri) of Summerville, WV; her son-in-law Sam McArthur of Alma; her sister Jenny Lee of Alma; her sister-in-law Carolyn Boyett of Blackshear; and her grandchildren, Tammy Gardner (William) of Baxley, Christy Strickland (Joc) of Blackshear, Samantha Lee (Lester) of Hoboken and Ridge Kirkland of Jacksonville, Fla.. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel (860 US-301, Jesup, GA 31546). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ramah Cemetery (2948 Ramah Rd, Mershon, GA 31551).
