He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Alice Setney Swain; and his siblings, Paul, Gary Wayne "Gator", John James "Jimbo" Swain, Mandy Ellen Swain and Emma "Jean" Heath.

He is survived by: his father Frank F. Swain, Sr.; his siblings, Mary "Laverne" Williams (Jack), Wilda Ann Melton, Margaret Harper, Patricia Earnhart, Phyllis McKinney, George "Cast" Swain (Lynn) and Harvey Moyo; his nephew David McKinzie (Monica); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Krysie, Marissa and Tripp. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
