She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Smith Crump and Hazel Virginia Benton Crump; her husband Donald Hugh Smart; and her sister Sandra Dee Crump Starnes. She is survived by: her children, Laura Dianne Massey (Quen) of Maxton, Brandi Michelle Holt (Alex) of Pageland and Justin Mark Santana (Kayla) of Brooklet, Georgia; her brother Anthony Roy Crump of Pageland; her grandchildren, Desmond Phenom Coffey, Omarion Avant Huntley, Justice Marquis Gingham, Avah Michelle Santana, Sebastian Nathaniel Gingham, Aaliyah Collette Massey, Jonah Mark Santana, Emalyn Michelle Santana and Levi Matthew Santana; and her great grandchild Sophia Bailey Coffey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
