He was predeceased by: his father Harley Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Janet Nail Phillips of Jesup; his mother Lorene Edenfield Vernon of Screven; his siblings, Debra Harper of Screven and Tony Vernon of Washington; and his stepchildren, Pat Way of Jacksonville and Lynn Sapp (Kenny) of Screven.
