He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor Humphries; his sister Kathy Humphries; his stepdaughter Melissa Yancey; and his stepgranddaughter Natalie Yancey. He is survived by: his father Dan Humphries; his siblings, Shirley Bell of Jesup and Carl Humphries (Donna) of Aiken, SC; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Tuck (Connor), Courtney Griffin (Matt) and Beth Ann Wright (Mike); and his stepgrandchildren, J. J., Everlee, Ryan, Emilia, Scarlet and Mirai. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
