He was predeceased by: his parents, Arbie Tillman and Delma Tillman; and his brothers, Donald, John and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Jean Welt (John) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Ronda Stephens (Dell) of Odum, GA and Ann Clingempeel (Bill) of Huntsville, AL.; his grandchildren, David, Stephanie and Michael; his sister Lavonne Dent of Odum; his grandsons, Christopher Clingempeel, LtCol David Welt, Major Michael Welt, Dell Stephens, Doug Tillman, Al Dent, Carey Martin and Buddy Martin; and his nieces and nephews, Dr. Lance Hendrix and Courtney Hall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be donated in his memory to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31546.
