She was predeceased by: her mother Vivian Dukes Poppell; and her nephew Kenny "Little Kenny" Chad Poppell. She is survived by: her father Kenneth, Sr. Poppell; her husband Mark Thornton; her sons, Christopher Thornton (Gina) of Jesup and Zachary Thornton (Lauren); her grandchildren, Tyson, Candice, Vivian, Malia, Zane, Huk and Hoyt; her brother Kenny Poppell (Angie) of Odum; and her nephew Logan Poppell (Hannah) of Odum.
