He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Lee Melton and Golden Francis Odum; and his grandson David DeLuca. He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Odom; and his children, Nancy (David Howard), Judy (Wayne Brown), Bonnie (George Smith), Norris (Nancy Robin Moon), James (Devi Moon) and Joey (Debbie Odom). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
