She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Vertz and Catherine Vertz; and her siblings, Alfred Vertz, Charlotte Vertz, Walter Vertz Jr., Willard Vertz and Carol Hintt (Vertz).
She is survived by: her husband George "Lucky" Short; and her sister Joyce Vertz. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
