He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Fountain and Thelma Brooks Fountain McNeal; his wife Glenda Sims Fountain; and his sister Robbie Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Jim Fontaine (Tina), Debbie Atkins (Roger), Donna Pierce (Donnie), Karen Burke (Lee Stringer) and Cecil Fountain, Jr. (Tracie); his grandchildren, Christina Fontaine, Chris Patat, Holly Prather (Michael), Mari Fontaine (Patrick), Derek Burke (Kathryn), Clay Lavender (Jessie), Brandon Fontaine (Whitney), Candace Gibson (Michael), Rachel Thigpen (Josh), Brandon Fountain, Trey Fountain and Nathan Atkins; and his sisters, Dollie Sheffield (Russell), Sandra McDaniel (Frank) and Brenda Calvert (John Wayne).
