He was predeceased by: his parents, Crawford Lee Nicholson and Emma Mae Ergle; his siblings, Annie Mae Bechtold and Crawford Lester Nicholson; and his sister-in-law Janis W. Chapman.

He is survived by: his wife Vicki Lynn Wheless Nicholson of Jefferson; his brother Oscar Ray Nicholson (Heather) of Hoschton; and his cousin Dura Whitehead of Douglasville. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
