He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Cochran Christopher; his sons, Rev. Richard Christopher, Sr. and Rev. Billy Joe Christopher, Sr.; and his parents, George Christopher and Clara Long Christopher.
He is survived by: his children, William Christopher (Avis) of Dublin, GA and Patricia Calvert (David) of Jefferson; his siblings, Juanita Bowen of Cumming, GA, Martha Higgins of Baldwin, GA, Louise Boling of Cumming and Billy Christopher of Cumming; and his stepbrother Ben Boling. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at the Gwinnett Memorial Park (925 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046).
