He was predeceased by: his grandson Evan Joins. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Herrick Brown of Jefferson; his daughters, Mary Whitlock (Jeff) of Clarksville and Carol Altmiller (Joe) of Wewahitchka, Florida.; his grandchildren, Jeff Whitlock, Amanda Carter, Hannah Whitlock, Kristy Rainwater and Jeremy Fulghum; and his stepchildren, Kim Joins (Randal) of Duluth, Ken Miller (Peggy) of Dunwoody, Stephen Miller (Lisa) of Marietta and Kevin Miller of Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
